Impeller A rotor housed in the pump assembly of a whirlpool or power-flush toilet.

Insuliner Factory-installed foam lining which minimizes condensation on the outside of a toilet tank by insulating the cold water in the tank from hot, humid air. Kohler's toilet Insuliner is available as a factory-installed option.

Integral apron Exposed external wall of a bathtub or whirlpool bath. It may be integral to the overall structure of the fixture or may be removable for access to whirlpool pump and motor.

Integral faucet ledge Ledge on a whirlpool or bathtub fixture that is wide enough to accommodate an installed faucet. The integral faucet ledge found on many of Kohler's whirlpool baths and bathtubs simplify faucet location and place the faucet within easy reach of the bather.

Integral heater Component of a whirlpool bath which maintains original water temperature in an enclosed unit for the duration of the bath. Available as an option of several models of KOHLER whirlpools, an integral heater can extend the length of hydro-massage enjoyment.

Integral nailing flange Integral "lip" on acrylic and FRP bathtubs which simplifies alcove installation, providing watertight seal. For installation into 3-wall alcoves, many KOHLER baths feature built-in nailing flanges, as well as optional or integral bath aprons.

IPS Now refered to as NPT in most applications. IPS stand for Iron Pipe Size, although most pipe is no longer iron. Both NPT and IPS refer to a the typical standard measure for threaded pipe with a tapered thread.

Isolation mount The four small rubber feet located beneath a whirlpool's pump base, or attached to the pulse cannister assemblies. The isolation mounts reduce noise and vibration when the whirlpool is running.
